Context
The rollout took years. HotNewHipHop says the project was first announced a long time ago as Knife and Fork before the title flipped. Skepta formally dated it on Oct. 2, 2026, when Resident Advisor reported the Nov. 6 release, and he revealed the tracklist in late October, per BellaNaija.
The guest list crosses lanes: London rap with Central Cee and the "Belly" cypher, Memphis with Project Pat, and Afrobeats and French pop with Asake and Aya Nakamura. "Victory Lap" arrives with a Grammy nomination already attached.
On the subject matter, HotNewHipHop reports that Skepta has said the record got more personal as he dug into his life as a child of immigrants. That lines up with the 1980s Nigerian-British look of the artwork.
What's unconfirmed
- Producers: the sources we checked do not list production credits, so we are not naming any yet.
- Chart peaks for the pre-release songs: we did not confirm UK or US chart positions for the singles before publishing. We will add them once we have them from the Official Charts Company or Billboard.
- Which songs are new: Resident Advisor's Oct. 2 announcement said some earlier singles, including the Aya Nakamura and Chase & Status songs, would not be on the album. The final tracklist includes both, so go by the tracklist.
Which "Fork and Knife" track hits hardest: "Broken Hearts" with Central Cee, "Cold Shower" with Project Pat or "Victory Lap"?
