The ranking
1. North America, 2025
This is the peak. Playboi Carti and Mike Dean opened, starting May 9, 2025, in Glendale, and Hurry Up Tomorrow songs like "Cry for Me" and "Baptized in Fear" joined the set. MetLife Stadium sold 162,831 tickets over three nights for $29.8 million. The tour also set a record of seven sold-out SoFi Stadium shows, the most by a male artist there. In August 2025, Billboard reported $635.5 million and 5.1 million tickets, calling it the biggest R&B tour ever, as cited on the tour page.
2. Europe and Latin America, 2023
The LED skyline gave way to a physical chrome city of ruined landmarks, and The Weeknd wore a mask until "Faith." The records stacked up: 159,574 people over two nights at London Stadium, 89,179 at Wembley on Aug. 18, 2023, and 71,363 at Rio's Estádio Nilton Santos on Oct. 7, 2023. Variety reported more than $350 million grossed by July 2023.
3. North America, 2022
The original. Mike Dean, Kaytranada and Snoh Aalegra opened after Doja Cat pulled out in May 2022 for tonsil surgery. The set included his verse from Kanye West's "Hurricane." It had low points too: on Sept. 3, 2022, he stopped the SoFi show three songs in after losing his voice. The two makeup SoFi nights on Nov. 26 and 27 produced Live at SoFi Stadium, which premiered on HBO Max on Feb. 25, 2023. The first North American leg grossed more than $148 million and sold over a million tickets.
4. Europe and Latin America, 2026
The biggest set piece: a new 40-foot gold Hajime Sorayama sculpture, with the LED screen back. Anitta opened in Mexico City starting April 20, 2026, and Carti returned for European dates, including Manchester on June 11. Wembley got five nights in August. In June 2026, Billboard reported that year's shows had passed three million attendees and $440 million.
5. Live in Asia, 2026
The send-off leg ran from Tokorozawa, Japan, on Sept. 19, 2026, through stops in Jakarta, Singapore, Goyang, Bangkok and Hong Kong before Kuala Lumpur. Creepy Nuts and Yousuke Yukimatsu opened select shows. It sits at No. 5 for one reason: the last two nights haven't happened yet.
6. Australia, 2024
This leg nearly didn't happen. The 2023 dates were postponed two weeks before the Nov. 20 Brisbane opener, New Zealand was canceled in April 2024 and Brisbane was dropped. Melbourne (92,092 tickets, $12.5 million) and Sydney (118,968 tickets, $13.6 million) did go ahead in October 2024, with "Dancing in the Flames" and "São Paulo" added to the set.
Context
The tour was first booked for arenas in 2020 with Don Toliver announced as an opener. The dates were postponed three times during COVID-19, and the third move, in October 2021, shifted the tour to stadiums, citing the "constraints of arenas," according to the tour page. Through every rebuild, the mask reveal stayed in the show as its dramatic turn.
What's unconfirmed
Fans are debating whether Kuala Lumpur is also the end of "The Weeknd" as a stage name. We didn't find an official statement tying the Nov. 5 finale to retiring the name, so we aren't reporting it as news. The tour's final box office total for 2026 also hasn't been published.
