Three chart and certification records landed on the same day this week. On Oct. 23, 2026, Billboard reported that Tate McRae's "Housewife" debuted at No. 1 on Australia's ARIA Singles Chart, that Drake passed 350 million RIAA-certified units, and that Ella Langley's "Loving Life Again" reached No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart. Here's what happened and why it matters.

What we know

Tate McRae finally gets a No. 1 in Australia

"Housewife" debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart published Oct. 23, 2026, according to Billboard. It is her first ARIA No. 1 and her sixth top 10 there. The song came out Oct. 15 on RCA, so it hit the top in its first chart week. Australia had been one of the big markets where McRae kept landing hits without reaching the summit, as Rockum noted, so a No. 1 debut is a strong start for her next album.

Drake becomes the first act past 350 million RIAA units

Drake picked up 30 new or upgraded RIAA certifications in one update, making him the first act to surpass 350 million certified units, Billboard reported. His 2016 album Views went diamond, meaning 10 million units in sales and streaming equivalents, per Complex. "In My Feelings" and "Marvin's Room" also went diamond, OVO Sound posted, calling him the most certified artist in history. The news dropped right before he turned 40 on Oct. 24, as Vice noted.

Ella Langley ties up a historic run on country radio

"Loving Life Again" rose one spot to No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart dated Oct. 31, 2026, per Billboard. It is Langley's sixth No. 1 on the chart and the fourth from her album Dandelion. The other three Dandelion chart-toppers are "Choosin' Texas," "Be Her" and "I Can't Love You Anymore," Whiskey Riff reported. That puts her alongside Shania Twain, whose 1995 album The Woman in Me produced six.

Context

All three stories are about scale. McRae's last few years were built on global streaming hits, and Australia was a gap in her resume. A No. 1 debut for the first single from a new album suggests the next record starts from a higher floor than the last one.

Drake's milestone is the long game. RIAA plaques count sales and streams over years, so catalog songs keep stacking up long after release. Views going diamond a decade after it came out shows how much his older music still gets played.

Langley is the fastest-moving country story of 2026. Four radio No. 1s from one album is rare for anyone, and t2online described her six-No. 1 run as the fastest by a woman in the chart's history. For fans outside country, she is now one of the names to know.
