Context
This is the follow-up to I Hope You're Happy, the 2025 country project that debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, No. 2 on the Country chart and No. 2 on the Rap chart, his highest-charting album so far, per Complex. Before that, 2024's Take Care debuted at No. 8, and his Bailey Zimmerman collab "All The Way" reached No. 1 on Hot Country Songs, AllHipHop noted.
So the number to beat is No. 7. Both Complex and The Source put his career total at more than 10.7 billion global streams.
The rap pivot is personal. In February he told Complex he was coming back "to the rap game with a chip on my shoulder," pointing out he had never been invited to the BET Awards or won a hip-hop award.
The rollout also came after a rough August. Complex reported he was arrested in Collin County, Texas, on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of under 2 ounces of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm. Those are charges, not convictions, and our sources give no update on the case.
What's unconfirmed
- Full production credits: Complex says these haven't been released. Only the singles are credited so far: BandPlay and Tony Coles on "LITE," and Tony Coles, Charley Cooks and JULiA LEWiS on "BURN."
- The YouTube show: AllHipHop says the parking lot set was filmed for it, but no title or premiere date has been announced.
- First-week numbers: No sales projections were in the sources we checked.
Pick one: GloRilla on "FAF" or Yachty and Babyface Ray on "BELIEVE"?
